This Valentine’s Day, the LifeSavers club is presenting CM’s first Hug Day! LifeSaver’s will be all around school on Tuesday hugging, high-fiving and giving fist bumps to others (with consent of course!).

LifeSavers member Meadow Cermak, who helped make posters for the invent, said Hug Day is designed to bring more joy to the halls of CM. “We wanted to spread positivity,” she said.

LifeSavers sponsor Rachael Varland echoed Cermak’s sentiments. “We heard about Hug Day when we went to the LifeSavers retreat in November,” she said. “Our goal is to spread positivity and love throughout our school.”

Lifesavers will also be giving out stickers for free. Look out for the students with LifeSaver’s shirts on Tuesday to get your sticker. And remember if you are uncomfortable with a hug, you do not need to get one to get a sticker.
