Boys Bowling Wrap-Up
As the boys bowling season draws to a close, we get to see the insight of different player’s opinions and experiences throughout the year. Varsity and JV participated in various matches and tournaments this season, even sending one of their teammates to the state championship.
This year, the freshman class brought in a new teammate, Logan Roberson. When asked about his experience this year, Logan said, “I think that my freshman season went really well. If I had to pick a favorite part, it would be at practice where I just get to hang out with other high schoolers who appreciate the same thing that I do, which is the sport of bowling.”
Returning player Grant Shirley also shared his thoughts, “My favorite part about this season was getting to spend time and bond with both the teammates I didn’t know and the ones that I did know.”
Sophomore Kale McMichael earned the opportunity to participate in the state championship. When asked how he felt once he knew he qualified, Kale replied, “When I learned I qualified I was relieved and pretty happy. I barely secured the last spot in the state and it made my whole season.” In Kale’s words, he said the experience was, “fun and challenging. It was a change of pace and it was easy to get caught up in a higher scoring pace and fall behind.”
On behalf of our Eagles, we are all proud of you and excited to see what next season will bring!
