Jeremy Christeson, who has served as CM’s wrestling coach since 2017, is the new industrial arts teacher. He is replacing Drew Short, who took a new position at Jerseyville.

Christeson is the father of CM senior Claire Christeson and 2020 graduate Jenna Christeson, who is attending Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Christeson was named the 2021 Telegraph Wrestling Coach of the Year. He served as CM’s assistant wrestling coach from 2000-2009 under Steve Bradley and Chad Young. In his senior year at CM, he was a Class AA state medalist wrestler.

Christeson graduated from CMHS in 1995 and attended Lindenwood University, where he played football and wrestled. This is his first teaching position. He served as an assist at Belleville West from 2010-2016.

Christeson says that CM has been a welcoming experience for him. “Teachers and students have been good so far,” he said.
