CM welcomes new social worker

Civic Memorial High School has welcomed many new teachers this school year, but one of the newest members of the Eagle family is a social worker.

Katie Wooldridge graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago in May of 2019 and soon after she started working here at Civic Memorial High School. A school social worker helps students deal with difficult situations and personal problems. Woolridge is taking the position of Janet Craig, who retired in May.

As a former Brighton resident, Woolridge went to high school at Southwestern. She lived in Godfrey for a few years and moved to Bethalto two months ago.

What she is looking forward to most is getting to know all the students and staff. “I want to tell Eagle Nation thank you for being so welcoming and helpful. I truly do feel at home,” Wooldridge said.
